You all know I love a great winter coat; I wear my Marfa Stance Coat almost daily and often reach for my Toteme Coat when I want a dressier look. As we enter into cold winter months, I realized I had a gap in my wardrobe because I don’t own a tailored wool coat. I searched far and wide at countless retailers but it should be no surprise to me that I found a perfect black wool coat from Veronica Beard. I am always impressed with their feminine tailoring and well made clothing.

Veronica Beard is a women’s clothing brand founded by sister-in-laws, Veronica Miele Beard and Veronica Swanson Beard in 2010. The New York based sportswear brand is known for offering timeless yet eye-catching wardrobe staples in luxury fabrics. Veronica Beard is known for their structured blazers and signature ‘dickey’ inserts. The dickey jackets allow women to incorporate layers and versatility into their wardrobe without sacrificing a flattering fit. A Veronica Beard coat is a timeless wardrobe staple that every woman should have in their closet!

Veronica Beard Coat Review

Frattini Dickey Coat from Veronica Beard 

The winter coat is made of 70% wool and it is beautifully tailored, and lined. It features a double breasted silhouette, flap pockets, a waist tie and striking gold buttons. The Frattini Dickey Coat is offered in sizes XS – XL. I would suggest taking your true size, I am in size XL. A classic black wool coat like this can be styled so many ways because it is just so versatile. You could wear it during the day with jeans and flats. And then layer it over a cocktail dress in the evening.

This coat includes one of my favorite Veronica Beard design elements – the option to add in a ‘dickey’ layer. The winter coat includes interior zippers allowing you to easily add in an additional layer (such as a cashmere sweater, denim jacket or hoodie.)

Nalida Dickey Coat in Ivory 

What is more eye-catching and chic than a beautiful ivory coat during the cold winter months? Another beautiful winter coat from Veronica Beard is this 70% wool, 30% cashmere coat. I love the corresponding mother-of pearl buttons and wide lapel collar. This lined winter coat is offered in numeric sizing (00 – 16.) I tried this coat on recently at the Madison Avenue Veronica Beard store and I was so tempted to purchase it. But candidly, I am too anxious that I would stain the beautiful white material. I somehow always seem to spill a drop of coffee on myself. So I just don’t think this coat (though stunning) is practical for my current day to day lifestyle. 

Miller Dickey Jacket in Black 

Every woman needs a great black blazer in their wardrobe and my favorite is this Miller Blazer from Veronica Beard. The dickey jacket is a best seller for the brand and offered in an inclusive size range 00-24 (I wear a size 18.) I would suggest buying the black color way with gold buttons for a classic and timeless jacket. If you are like me, this will be one of the most worn pieces in your closet because you can easily dress it up or down for various occasions. I often add in my Grey Hoodie Dickey for a more casual outfit.
