Two of my all-time favorite skincare products are the Essenceand Serumfrom Vintner’s Daughter. The splurge worthy, award-winning formulations are made of active botanicals and deliver some real results.
My skincare review of Vintner’s Daughter:
Before using Vintners Daughter, my skin felt dull and lackluster. Additionally, I was having some texture issues on my forehead with old acne scars. It felt like it was time to change my skincare routine, so I decided it was time to splurge on Vintner’s Daughter, a so-called ‘miracle’ product.
I have now been using the skincare duo for over two years and without a doubt, my skin is better than ever. I have had both instant and long-lasting results. Within a month of first using both products I started to see changes in my skin: my skin’s overall surface was much smoother and brighter. Now after using the product for two years, the results have only continued. My skin feels hydrated, brighter and more smooth and clear overall.
The Vintner’s Daughter Serumingredients are a mixture of over 22 different active botanicals aimed to help brighten and nourish any skin type; from acne-prone skin to aging skin.
Also, I don’t want to forget to mention that the Serumhas a beautiful floral scent! (The Essence smells a bit like Apple Cider Vinegar, which I don’t love as much…! But you quickly follow the Essence step with the Serum so that smell does not last.)
If you are trying Vintner’s Daughter for the first time, order their mini sizes:
To test the product, I suggest buying Vintner’s Daughter Travel Set ($160) so you can be sure the skincare products work for your skin before investing in the full sizes (as the products are expensive!)
I now keep a Travel Set on hand so that I can keep them in my travel cosmetic case.
Will Vintner’s Daughter products work with my skin type?
Of course, everyone has different skin types and reacts to products differently. For reference (if it is helpful) I have sensitive skin that can be acne prone in my t-zone. Vintner’s Daughter answers a wide range of questions on their site and they say their products work with all skin types.
How to use Vintner’s Daughter products:
You can use the Vintner’s Daughter Essence and Serum in the morning, at night or both times of day. Because the products are an investment, I have chosen to just use the duo at night (as I have heard you can sometimes see the best results from products you use at night.)
Spray the Essence: Once I have clean skin, I spray 4-5 spritzes of the Active Essence Treatmentonto my face, neck and chest. I then use my palms to pat the product into my skin. April Gargiulo, the founder of Vintner’s Daughter, calls this the ‘Pat and Press Method.’
I want to mention that the Essence has a slight apple cider smell that you might not love at first, but I quickly got used to it. I love the scent of the serum, it is a natural floral scent that is lovely!
Apply Serum: Next, I take about five drops of the Active Botanical Serum into one palm. I then rub both palms together to warm up the oil slightly and then again pat the Serum all over my face and neck. Vintner’s Daughter calls this the ‘Push & Press Method,’ suggesting you do it for about 30 seconds on your face, neck, and décolleté.
All Set: you could be done with your skincare routine right then and there after the serum.
Extra Steps:
Apply Retinol: If you use a retinol, best to apply that after your Vintner’s Daughter products.
Apply Eye Cream: some nights, I do not always apply eye cream as the Serum can be effective on your eye area. But when I do want to add a layer of eye cream, the best one I have found is the Awakening Eye Gel from Tammy Fender. I always seem to have a hard time finding an eye cream I like but this one has been a new favorite for the past few months!
Apply Moisturizer: I typically find that the Serum gives me enough hydration that I do not need to follow up with a cream moisturizer (especially in the summer months.) But as we get into the dryer months of the winter, I sometimes need a little extra moisturizer so I will add a layer of Water-Lock Moisturizer from Tata Harper orInstant Angel from Dieux Skin.
