Now, I know that it might initially seem crazy to be talking about monochrome looks as the temperatures heat up and summer nears. Traditionally spring and summer are a time of bright colors, fun patterns or pastel hues. And I definetly have some colorful dresses sitting in my closet that will be worn throughout these warmer months.

But the other day I cam across these monochrome looks from J.Crew, and they had me thinking; maybe black and white should have a stonger place in my wardrobe all year long, not just in the winter.

The relaxed but also equally polished nature of all these looks really drew me in. Lets look at the second to last image, who wouldn’t want to look so effortlessly chic all summer long? (J.Crew always makes it look so much easier than it actually is, but we can still try. haha!)

Or the last image, I dont think I would ever initially pick out this black and white floral sweatshirt, but here it isn’t overpowering but instead is simply perfect. With the rest of the outfit sticking to the black and white  theme the sweatshirt draws the perfect amount of attention.

I have my eye on the eyelet shirt, these pleated crepe shorts and then also the  sweatshirt.  Will you be wearing black and white pieces throughout the summer, or are do you usually gravitate to more colorful hues?
