Find yourself a sister-in-law who gives fabulous gifts, like this embroidered sun hat from Corazon Playero. (Mine is size Large)
This Emilie Patch-Pocket Sweater Lady Jacket from J.Crew is in constant rotation in my wardrobe! It is the perfect cardigan to throw on and pair with jeans and ballet flats for a easy (but classic) outfit. My sweater is in the navy/white striped colorway (other stripes and also sold colors are available) and I am in size XXL.
My favorite blazers are from Veronica Beard. Here I am wearing their Miller Dickey Jacket in black paired with a black tank, jeans and ballet flats. It is such a simple and comfortable outfit but the blazer helps make it a bit dressier. (This exactly jacket was kindly gifted but I also often buy Veronica Beard on my own full price.)
Hand down, my all time favorite dry shampoo is from Crown Affair. I have very fine straight hair that sadly gets greasy pretty fast but because of that I have tried countless dry shampoos and nothing works better for me than this powder dry shampoo. The application with the brush takes some getting used to but once you see the results, I am sure you will love it as much as I do!
Here is a example of one of my favorite cozy and comfortable outfits for a day at home (or a day of errands) - I have had this Tory Sport sweatshirt for years (it has a nice boxy oversized fit) paired with Mini Flare Pants from Lululemon (they make me think of what I wore in elementary school, the early 2000s are coming back!)
I have been thinking about ordering a the Solid Marin Sweater from La Ligne for months (as I love their striped Marin sweaters.) I finally caved and ordered the sweater in this beautiful grey - I was unsure what size to get and ordered my true size, XL. The size ended up being perfect, a tad oversized and perfectly cozy. I am tempted to also order this in Ivory.
My favorite blankets for my home are the Italian Herringbone Throw Blanket Lands Downunder - my mom had bought these for years and they are the perfect blanket to keep you cozy but also look elegant and chic in your home. The blankets come in a wide range of beautiful colors. I often give these blankets as gifts (a great housewarming gift!)
The sun is finally out again in New York and it feels a bit like summer (instead of October!) // I am wearing my go-to black pants, the Spanx On-The-Go Kick Flare Pant. The pant is currently on final sale, so I hope they are not being discontinued. They are just so comfortable and easy to wear. I wear a size 1x and take the tall version (as I am 5'11.)
I left home without taking a mirror selfie, so here I am at Bergdorf's taking a quick outfit pic. As I have told you all before, these Veronica Beard Beverly Skinny-Flare Jeans are a new favorite of mine! They are just so flattering and comfortable. And whats more they are offered in inclusive sizes (I am in my usual pant size, 18.) My black blazer is old from Vince and no longer available but I am linking a similar style I own from Veronica Beard.
I have had my eye on this beautiful Crepe Trench Coat from Theory for what feels like months and I finally bought it last week because it is on sale for 25% off during their Friends & Family sale. It is certainly a bit fitted and I personally always find Theory to run a tad small, so I got a size XXL.
The other day my friend Emily sent me a text message asking me what my favorite hand soap was (I love when you can text random things like this to great friends.) I quickly told Emily that I love Compagnie de Provence liquid soap that I buy on Amazon. The packaging is chic but minimal while the Mediterranean Sea scent is a clean, fresh ocean scent.
I have been loving this Safi Wool-Cashmere Blend Sweater from LouLou Studio that I purchased during the Saks Friends & Family sale. It is my first purchase from LouLou studio and it is so nice - it feels very luxe! I love that this sweater has side slits, so it is not tight on your waist. I took my true size (XL) and as you can see it is quite oversized in the best way.
I am slowly trying to lean into the flare jean trend...it is not overly natural for me but I will say its been growing on me! This is a pair of flare jeans from Good American (one of my favorite brands for denim) - I always suggest sizing down in Good American because their styles tend to have a good bit of stretch. My other favorite flare jeans are from Veronica Beard, so I will link those as well.
