I have long admired Heather Chadduck’s interior design work so I was excited when I heard that she was the designer for the Southern Living 2019 Idea House. Each year, Southern Living puts on a showhouse that is open for visitors and published in the magazine; past designers have been Meredith Ellis and Bunny Williams. I am always so impressed with the homes and it is a nice change from typically showhouses where interior designers typically design just one room – for the Southern Living Idea House the designer is the only decorator for the whole house, so you can really see their vision come to life.
The August issue of Southern Living just hit newsstands and features the 2019 Idea House that Heather designed and not surprisingly it exceeded all my high expectations. Heather blew it out of the park! The home is truly beautiful! I love her use of color and pattern! Each room and detail is better than the next! Keep reading to see more of the home and resources to a range of the products used in the home!

The interior designer of the home, Heather Chadduck, has her own fabric line, Heather Chadduck Textiles. I love the Lillieberrie fabric that she used in this bedroom; I am book marking this hoping that one day I can use this print somewhere. Such a pretty/sweet print.

The hallway was long but also wide so a typical runner rug did not fit the space, so Heather had a great trick of buying a few of the same rug and sewing them together to make one long rug for the hallway!
