There is something wonderful about wallpaper, like a great fabric, it has the ability to transform a room. It can either be a statement piece of a more subdued backdrop, but either way it adds interest to a space.
In my bedroom at home my mom used wallpaper not on the walls, but on the ceiling. A bit different than the norm perhaps, but beautiful none the less. The wallpaper is Lysette by Quadrille Fabrics in a soft lavender on white. This wallpaper set the tone for the whole room, leading to a mixture of pale lavender, shades of grays and white. This same wallpaper (and corresponding fabric) has been used in countless ways by various designers; here are some of my favorite spaces with the same Lysette pattern.
